How can you help?

I can help you with your own research by taking on some of your workload or applying my expertise to your research.

Why would I need your help?

Perhaps you’ve been working on your own family history and have come to a dead end. Maybe you don’t have the time to go further or perhaps you need to visit the National Archives but live a long way away.

What’s involved?

Get in contact and we can discuss what you’ve done so far and what the issue is. If I can assist you I will provide you with a proposal covering the actions I can take and the likely time and costs involved.

What do I get?

What I will provide you with will depend totally on what you have asked me to do. If I find information I will provide a report of the findings, or if you’ve asked me to take photographs of original documents, then that’s what I will supply you with.

What will it cost?

Every commission will be different and it is impossible to give a guideline here. However I will discuss costs with you at the start and at relevant stages. I currently charge £40 per hour, plus costs incurred.
